Malaysia: CM Libra Investment Bank has launched its first virtual stock trading challenge game, StockQuest@ecmmoney.com, for young and aspiring investors.
Developed by ChartNexus with the support of The Star Online, the game is a fun and rewarding real-time trading experience without monetary risks.
ECM Libra chief operating officer Martin Chu said in a statement the game was in line with Bursa Malaysia’s effort to encourage and persuade the younger generation to participate in the local stock market.
“StockQuest@ecmmoney.com will provide a platform for young, aspiring investors to learn about the intricacies of the stock market and help develop their talent for investing.
“The key advantage is that it helps participants gain valuable knowledge, experience and confidence before they tackle actual online investing.”
Participants can take part in the challenge, trade stocks and track their investments through StockQuest@ecmmoney.com during official trading hours.
Each participant will have an opportunity to trade with a virtual sum of RM100,000 (approx USD33,000). Winners will be selected based on the profits they generate during the challenge period from Sept 20 to Oct 22, with RM10,000 (approx USD3,300) cash as the first prize.
